Q – Well it’s no secret that the original version didn’t have the best depiction of therapy. The couples therapy sessions that Betty Jennifer Beals and Tina Laurel Holloman attended were often embarrassing at best and straight-up “wait what about this” at worst. But in the sequel series the former couple’s daughter Angie Jordan Hull proves she has a higher emotional intelligence than her moms.

At first her mums insist she needs to wait until she’s 30 – a promise they made to the donor – but things take a turn for the worse when Angie undergoes type testing and discovers the identity of her half-sister . As if deciding whether to meet the donor wasn’t difficult enough Angie grapples with the fact that the donor is terminally ill.

Or she could save him by donating one of her kidneys. Obviously this caused a lot of anxiety Angie experienced panic attacks and depressive episodes but she also had the wherewithal to seek the treatment she needed. We don’t often see characters like this let alone teenagers defending themselves like this or having the support of their families. This Is Us Randall Pearson Sterling Brown is doing the right thing when it comes to mental health. As the most upstanding, responsible and empathetic sibling, Randall had a lot of responsibilities growing up.

He’s holding the hands of his white brothers and sisters amid the resurgence of the Black Lives Matter movement. .
