Q – Well it’s no secret that the original version didn’t have the best depiction of therapy. The couples therapy sessions that Betty Jennifer Beals and Tina Laurel Holloman attended were often embarrassing at best and straight-up “wait what about this” at worst. But in the sequel series the former couple’s daughter Angie Jordan Hull proves she has a higher emotional intelligence than her moms.

Obviously this caused a lot of anxiety Angie experienced panic attacks and depressive episodes but she also had the wherewithal to seek the treatment she needed. We don’t often see characters like this let alone teenagers defending themselves like this or having the support of their families. This Is Us Randall Pearson Sterling Brown is doing the right thing when it comes to mental health. As the most upstanding, responsible and empathetic sibling, Randall had a lot of responsibilities growing up.
